Since COVID-19 began, all-cause mortality for over-64 year-olds in the USA has been sharply seasonal, while it’s been elevated independently of COVID-prevalence for under-45s. What has been causing the season-independent rise in under-45 mortality? Are the USA sacrificing the young and middle-aged in an attempt to protect the old?
Update: A similar pattern of increased under-45 mortality has been found in Canada. Medical errors (iatrogenic harm) may be the culprit. A newer analysis shows significantly lower excess mortality in some states than others.

I wrote on this very same topic in Canada back in March 2021. It's mind-boggling. I originally wrote on Facebook and was lambasted for it.
But I've recently discovered that the greatest sacrifice, relatively, is among under-14s. Like 30-40% excess, and sustained.
Eventually the 85-yos will have to blow the whistle to save their grandkids and great-grandkids
